awakening in the ever dark
while presence stirs some new fires
how to know if it's a lark
rekindling forgotten desires
random garages open to a one third
handshakes on lawns, so cleanly kept
"that's her" eyes tend toward the absurd
when all this time they have slept
yet, it's a language I relish in kind
proximal deniability growls
words to monsters; hope they don't mind
each way signifies horn'd howls
like a keyfed whirl'd black swan
showing light golden rays, well-spun
held by tires, she said, "IT'S ON!"
at least the wet fantasy has begun...
This is a ritual poem, written 10/8/26. Ritual wine was a fantastic red blend called Three Finger Jack, named after a famous outlaw. Smooth swallow with a spicy finish. My kind of wine. ;)
